Kickoff the MIB Master Plan

We will kick off this Master Planning process with a Community Dinner and Discussion on December 7, 2021, at the Musqueam Community Centre.

Dinner, childcare and transportation will be provided for those who need it.

In addition, we will host a Virtual/Online Community Discussion on December 8, 2021, for those who cannot make the in-person event the night before.

Community Dinner and Discussion

5:00 pm – Community Centre Doors Open: Come and meet the planning team, learn more about master plans, and share your thoughts in a casual environment.

5:30 pm – Dinner is served in family groups. During this time, family members will discuss their thoughts and ideas on a range of issues that will later be shared with the rest of the community.

(Members who cannot arrive by 5:30 are still welcome to attend when they can, enjoy dinner, and participate in the event when they arrive.)

6:30 pm – The event will transition from smaller-group conversations to a community group presentation.

Members of the design team will hear each family group’s workshop discussion, and will give an overview of the master plan process and key themes going forward. There will also be time for community questions and answers.

7:30 pm – Event wraps up, final surveys are distributed for participants.

Online Virtual Community Conversation

6:00 pm – Event begins with brief introductions of the consultant team and an overview of the Communities goals.

6:15 pm – Online community presentation and conversation begins, including interactive surveys, online engagement activities, and question/answer period.

7:30 pm – Presentation concludes, final surveys are distributed to participants.
